Window cleaner problems

Does snyone know the name of the window cleaner that has been doing the windows in Marywood Square fro the last few years?

I live at number 4 and have been threatened with a busted jaw and broken windows after he turned up looking for money again after being told just over a week ago not to do my windows again.

I’d appreciate it if anyone in during the day could keep an eye out.

I have already informed the community police.

Bungo in the Back Lanes 2010

This year’s Bungo in the Back Lanes will be held on Saturday the 19th of June and starts at 1pm.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to help set up, take down and man a stall for an hour or so. Any amount of time is appreciated.

If you fancy running one of the following stalls then we’d be happy to hear from you:

  • Alternative therapies/massage
  • Fair trade goods
  • Crafts
  • Bands/musicians

We are also looking for donations for the tombola, bottle and lucky dip stalls. Anything will be accepted, including bottles of shampoo, tins of beans, unused fancy goods and so on. We’re also looking for home-baking. Get in touch if you have anything.

Anyone can set up outside their own back gate and do not need to contact the Strathbungo Society. However for further info or if you are from outwith the three lanes you can contact Joanna on 423 7756.

See the BitBL map for the current highlights.

Flickr Group

Hi there,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve started a Strathbungo group on Flickr, as one didn’t seem to exist.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/strathbungo/

I know there are loads of nice Bungo pics on Flickr and it’d be great to aggregate them.

If you use Flickr, I’d be happy to send you an invite to become a moderator. Even if you don’t, you can grab the code and embed slideshows etc for use on other sites (like this!)…if you fancy.

If you wanted to tell folk about it, hopefully we could grow the membership and number of pics.

Best Wishes,

Helen
