As mentioned in the newsletter, Glasgow City Council’s Clean Glasgow campaign is up and running. A Clean Glasgow team will be here from the 23rd of April to the 4th of May. Read more at the council’s web site.
Our guttering is in a sorry state. Can anyone recommend a local firm to carry out guttering repairs/replacement. I would also be grateful if any and If anyone can recommend a local painter & decorator?
Many Thanks
Lara Matthias at No4 Marywood Sq
Last July we did a litter pick-up in conjunction with Proud of Pollokshields. Here are some photos of the litter-busters at the railway bridge after their hard work (click on each photo to see the full-size image). We’ll be doing a pick-up again this year, so keep your eyes open for details. They’ll be on this website and coming through your doors.
We’ve had some enquiries about Network Rail and tree cutting, responding to rumours that they will be coming back soon to do more work. Network Rail are required to give residents notice of the work, which should be three weeks before they begin. The Strathbungo Society will be contacting Network Rail to get an idea whether they intend to come back and do some more cutting and whether they are going to deal with the Japanese knotweed that infests the embankments.
