The March 2010 meeting will be on Monday the 15th of March, 7:30pm at Grianach Café at 38 Nithsdale Road.

This year’s spring event will be taking place at Queens Park Parish Church on Saturday the 6th of March from 10am to 1pm. It will feature the winners of the spring art competition. Come along for a cup of tea and a cake. There are over 90 entries to the art competition, so drop in and see the work of the talented Bungo youngsters.

We’re always looking for volunteers and we’d appreciate any help, whether from 7-9pm on the Friday night before the event to help display artworks or from 9.30-1.30 on the Saturday to help run the coffee morning. Even if it’s just 30 minutes to help make tea or clear tables it will be a big help.

And, as ever, we’d also very much appreciate home baking to sell on the day. Please contact us if you can help, or just turn up on the day: no willing helpers will be refused.

The February 2010 meeting will be on Monday the 22nd of February, 7:30pm at Grianach Café at 38 Nithsdale Road.

Here is all you need to get arty smarty in Strathbungo and enter our fantastic art competition. Anyone 16 and under can enter and the artwork can be in any media but must be no larger than A3. This year’s theme is “Spring in Strathbungo”.

To enter, print off the relevant entry form for your age group, fill it in, get arty and then drop your artwork and entry form off at Park Gallery on Pollokshaws Rd no later than 4pm on Sunday 21st February.

Winners will be notified by telephone on Friday 5th March and prizes will be awarded on Saturday 6th March as part of Strathbungo’s Spring Fling. Good luck!

Bungo at the Bells 2009 is being held at 53 Queen Square/18 Moray Place. Festivities begin at 11.45pm. Mulled wine and music are provided so come along and see in the new year with the rest of Strathbungo.
