Having recently taken delivery of some replacement timber windows you can imagine my disappointment when the chap i had lined up to fit them let me down and says he can no longer do this work.

Can anyone tell us who was DJing in the garden of 41 Nithsdale Road at Bungo in the Back Lanes? A neighbour particularly enjoyed the calypso version of ‘Cars’ and would love to track down a copy.

Hi, I live in one of the squares and am having all our sash windows overhauled; they are in a very bad state. Someone mentioned to me that you can get a grant from the city council to help with this. Does anyone know a contact point for this? I am sure others must have done this before me. I am going to phone the council and see what info I can get, but if anyone knows the ropes here and how you do it, I’d be very grateful as it is going to cost me one of my arms and legs!!!

Is there an existing book group in Strathbungo looking for a new member, or anyone want to start one up ? I live in Moray Place and read everything, but especially contemporary fiction, and wouldn’t mind reading and discussing this, as well as some of the classics that I never got round to earlier in life !

I’m not sure I want to alarm people, or maybe even make false accusations, but I think I disturbed two guys who looked like they were about to dig up the faience rope edging from our front garden. The men were in and out the front garden, checking the border edging and returned from an unmarked white van with a spade. When challenged they said was I not getting work done by McQuorquadales and then said is this not Regent Park Sq? It being Queen Square, I said no, they needed the next street and they said oh we must’ve got the wrong address.
