1.  Organise a carpet bowls competition at the two Care homes in the area.( other activities could be organised by the Homes & perhaps volunteers from the Community could help out?)

 

2.  100m run 2.  Bump Bike racing  ( bike race in the back lanes) 2.  Hire table tennis tables and hold a tournament in one of the local Halls/Pubs. 2.  A  French Boules competition – perhaps at Bungo In the Back Lanes? 
3.  Queen’s Park Marathon 3.  Wheelbarrow race
4.  Sack race, egg & spoon race, 3-legged race (there is a gold medallist in our midst!) 4.  Home-made Go-Kart race
5. Sponsored 24 hour relay in Queen’s Park.  Raise money to help other countries take part in sport e.g. Malawi?  Could involve 96 people – do 15 mins each?

1.  Talk by a ‘sporting’ personality e.g. Chris Hoy at Langside Halls; John Higgins (who practices locally) 1.  competitions at Hutchie sports ground 1.  Competition for local residents of best account of participating in a sport/sporting challenge ( all entries appear on the Blog over the course of the Commonwealth Games) 1.  Hold competition for a new game/sport.  Design a new sport: ‘The Bungo’ – then played by al the Streets.  Parameters could be set re size of team, composition of team ( mix of ages etc )

 2.  Hold talks by sports people in The Bungo, Sammy Dow’s etc  2.  Competition for best sporting picture at a Strathbungo event

    3.  Competition to design a poster/logo for the Strathbungo event
