The nights are drawing in, the Christmas ads have started, so why not wallow in the Christmas spirit and get your shopping started early and on your doorstep?
The Nithsdale Rd/Kildrostan St shops are hosting their annual Christmas shopping evening tomorrow, Wednesday 14th November. There’ll be carol singers, mulled wine, nibbles and great early-bird offers.
Most of the local businesses take part and if, like me, you struggle to get round local shops with toddlers in tow, you’ll appreciate the chance to browse at your leisure. Things kick off at 6.30pm and finish around 9.30. It’s a great opportunity to make the most of our fantastic local shops.
Never knew this was on last night till I happened to be walking through the area :(, look amazing but really think it could have been advertised a bit more, never seen any posters up and never got a flyer through the door!?
If anyone knows the organiser or shop owners maybe let them know that more people would have been there if they knew it was on. At least 7 friends and family members would have turned up.
PS not sure if they were doing this but a cup of warm muld wine or out door food would maybe a good idea for next year. Like a very small St Enoch square xmas market!? Just a thought 🙂
James – I agree. There’s been a similar event every November for years but I’m sure in previous years it’s been advertised in all the shops with posters. I only found out last week thanks to a Facebook update from one of the shops! Normally there’s mulled wine and nibbles served in the shops as part of the event.
