Bungo in the Back Lanes 2008

We are looking for donations for the tombola, bottle and lucky dip stalls. Anything will be accepted, including bottles of shampoo, tins of beans, unused fancy goods and so on. Get in touch if you have anything.

Also look out for local scout troups selling raffle tickets and, of course, the map and flyer with full details coming through every letterbox in Strathbungo.

Get in touch if you want to be involved.

Read the flyer in PDF format.

For this year’s Bungo in the back lanes, I intend to hold a stall selling delicious, nutritious, affordable, vegan food Marywood/Queen Sq lane. But to do so I need to loan certain items from friendly local residents. Essential items are marked with an *, the rest would be nice but are optional. Everything borrowed would be returned clean and promptly:

1 table – preferably of the garden variety but not really not fussy*
    4-6 chairs – as above*
    1 pasting table*
Old crockery and cutlery including plates, bowls, knives, forks, spoons, ladles, serving spoons, an ice cream scoop, teaspoons, cups, saucers, mugs, teapots, flasks. Doesn’t matter if they’re old, dusty or aesthetically unappealing. They’ll be cleaned beforehand and the food served in them will make up for their appearance!*
Clean but unwanted disposable cups, plates, bowls and cutlery*
    Some big table umbrellas
    1 twin top camping stove
    “Plasticated” table cloths
    Old bed sheets
A large stock pot preferably with lid
Large or catering sized roasting/cooking tins
    An extra chopping board
    A lockable cash box
Bumbags – for keeping money in
Old estate agent signs – given a makeover they’re perfect as stall signs
Reinforced blank card – again for signs (I couldn’t return this unaltered – it would have to be a donation!)

If you can lend or donate any of the above, please contact me at abysseus@hotmail.com or ring/text me on 07990 772003 or drop a note through my front door. Your reward will be yummy vegan food!

Many thanks and don’t forget to visit the stall on 21st June!

    Rebecca
