Time to dig out your scruff and join in with one of our regular community clean ups.
The City Council will be on hand to provide a skip, litter-pickers, gloves and bin bags – now we just need volunteers. We’ll be meeting outside Sammy Dow’s from 11am on Sunday 3rd July and will be cleaning up the back lanes and anywhere else volunteers think needs a bit of a spruce up. A number of our usual clean-up volunteers are on holiday so if you can spare even half an hour it would be greatly appreciated!
Dress for the weather and the cobbles.
Hopefully by then the council will have got round to picking up all the flytipping that was done in the backlane between queen square and marywood square over the weekend. Police are patrolling the area due to the number of immigrants and junkies that have been seen going through it.
This picture must be an old one!?
Thanks so much to all the clean-up volunteers. There’s a mighty pile awaiting the Council skip at the end of Nithsdale Road, all picked up and moved by neighbours on Sunday.
