Bungo at the Bells was a great success this year. Below is a short video of the evening, starting with the procession from Nithsdale Road to Moray Place.
The January 2008 meeting will be on Monday the 21st January, 7:30pm at Grianach Café on Nithsdale Road.
The McKever Group has lost its appeal against the loss of its licence.
Strathbungo is a great place to live however there is one area that lets us down. It sickens me that people think its acceptable to dump rubbish on other peoples property or anywhere for that matter. I stay in Queen Square and went out into the lane this morning to find that rubbish had been dumped outside my house. The rubbish had been ripped open and the personal details of the dumpers was visible, credit card receipts, hotel bills and even a receipt for last years ski holiday. If people don’t care about their personal and financial security then how do we convince them to respect the Strathbungo area.

This year’s community Hogmanay celebrations will be held outside 23 Moray Place, in the block between Queen Square and Marywood Square. As ever there’ll be music, the big countdown and a real community atmosphere. Bring the kids, pets and friends!
The event will kick off at 11.30pm with a procession to rouse the neighbourhood. To take part bring yourself and a noise-making instrument (anything goes – from a tambourine to a saucepan and spoon!) to Nithsdale Rd, outside Grianach, and prepare to march the squares.
The event will only be cancelled if the big Glasgow and Edinburgh street parties are called off due to the weather.
There is a correction to the story on Bungo at the Bells. The event is at 23 Moray place, which is between Queen Square and Marywood Square, not Regent Park Square as the text says.
