A pop-up shop has been created for the festive period in Shawlands Arcade showcasing the wares of local craftspeople.
It’s a great opportunity to buy handmade goodies from people in your local community and a great idea from the owners of the arcade to encourage local enterprise.
Opening days and times are on the flyer and there are also kids’ craft sessions as part of the open days.
Can’t make it along on Saturdays? Another crafty alternative is the Afternoon Twee events on Sunday 2nd and 9th at Tusk in Shawlands.
The fantastic farmers market will be in Queens Park this Saturday and on the 15th. Most of the stallholders will have special items for Christmas and the chance to pre-order meat etc for the big day. Many of the stallholders live locally so you really are keeping your cash in the community.
Although they do not sell them at the farmers market, regular stall holders Eden Mill Farm also sell (and deliver) great-quality Christmas trees in several varieties and sizes.
Looking for something special and affordable for the kids, pop in to Merry-go-round. They are holding a Christmas open evening this Tuesday 27th November from 6-9pm and have a huge choice of Christmas gifts aimed at young children.
